• PTA Summer Fair 2021

  Here are some photos from today’s PTA Summer Fair. It was a fun-packed day which included a bouncy castle, ice cream van, badge-making station with Islington Libraries, jam jar raffles, cookie decorating stations, tennis fun, football games, pony & goat petting stations, a DJ, arts & crafts, hair braiding, food from around the world, and more!

   

  Thank you to each and every parent volunteer who dedicated some of their time to the Summer Fair today.

• EYFS Graduation

  EYFS graduated today with an incredible performance of songs and poems. They had a graduation ceremony in which Miss Lewis gave them their certificates and then got to celebrate after with a tea party! We are so proud of each and every child! 👩‍🎓🧑‍🎓🎓

  This morning, Planetoids Class took part in a drama workshop with teachers from La Sainte Union School. They acted out scenes from the Shakespeare play, A Midsummer Night's Dream.

• Ducklings hatch at Thornhill

  As part of Science Week, we were lucky enough to take care of duck eggs and watch them hatch.

   

  Over the weekend, Ms Jodie and Ms B from the office cared for the ducklings over the weekend and even got to witness a duckling hatch right before their very eyes!

  

• Year 4 Pupil is a player escort at the England v Croatia Euros!

  Our very own Thornhill pupil, Mason from Year 4, had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be an official Just Eat player escort at the England v Croatia Euros match at Wembley this Sunday. Mason and his mum had a fantastic day making new friends and watching England win against Croatia!

  Science Week 2021

  Tuesday's itinerary included rocket-making! The children had a BLAST launching their rockets high up into the sky 🚀

   

  The Starchaser Rocket team also visited Thornhill with their real-life rocket. We learnt that this rocket actually launches into space but does not carry humans!

   

  

• Reception learn about Vincent Van Gogh

  Reception have been learning all about Vincent Van Gogh and his artwork. They created observational paintings based on his famous series, Sunflowers.
