Thornhill had a jam-packed day of World Book Day celebrations! We started with a family reading morning. It was excellent to see so many parents and carers cosying up with and sharing books.

For Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, family reading was followed by a visit from Claire Alexander, author of 'The Think Ups'. After hearing Claire read her story to us, we enjoyed becoming illustrators and creating our own pictures inspired by the story.

Key Stage 2 were lucky to have a special assembly with Eve Wersocki Morris, author of 'The Wildstorm Curse'. We had lots of questions for Eve about her work and were inspired by her journey into writing. 

Each class had a wonderful time parading their amazing character costumes before enjoying Enrichment in character!
