Childcare Funding Options
Families can access government funded early education schemes that provide 15 hours of funded childcare during the school term
- 15 hours funded childcare for all 3 and 4 year olds
Tax-free Childcare
The government offers tax-free childcare to working families. Some working families are eligible for 30 hours of free childcare during term-time. We offer both 15 and 30 hour term-time places to children in the term after their third birthday.
To find out if you are eligible for 30 hours of free nursery funding, please check your eligibility for tax-free childcare. If you are eligible, you will be issued with an 'eligibility code' which you will need to bring into school to confirm your application.
Early Years Charging Policy
Thornhill Primary School adopts Islington Council's Early Years Charging Policy.
If you are entitled to 15 hours of funded childcare but would like your child to attend for 30 hours, you may be eligible to pay for the additional 15 hours. For full details of charges, including all the income bands, read the early years charging policy here.
